Questions parents ask
Does Cheeko have a screen?
Yes, a small one. We would rather say so plainly.
- It shows which story is playing, a menu to choose from, and the fox reacting.
- It does not play video.
- There is no feed to scroll, no autoplay, no next episode, no browser and no app store.
Your child listens and plays. They do not sit and watch.
What age is Cheeko for?
Children aged 3 to 10.
- Younger children mostly use the story cards and rhymes.
- Older ones use the games, quizzes and Ask Cheeko.
What’s in the box?
- 1 Cheeko Pro device, in the colour you choose

There is no charger in the box. Cheeko charges over USB-C, so any phone charger you already own will work.

Is there a subscription?
Ask Cheeko and Imagine are free for your first 3 months. After that they move to a paid subscription.
- We will tell you the price in the parent app before anything is charged.
- We do not keep a card on file for it, so you will never be charged automatically.
- Stories, story cards and games never need a subscription. They keep working for as long as you own the device.
Which languages does it speak?
6 Indian languages plus English. Real recorded voices, not translated accents.
You set the language in the parent app and can change it any time.
Is it safe? Is it always listening?
There is no wake word. Nothing is always listening.
- The microphone opens only while your child holds the talk button, and closes the moment they let go.
- Answers come from a curated, age-filtered knowledge base, not the open internet.
- In the parent app you can see every question your child asked, set daily time limits and choose what is unlocked.
How long does the battery last?
4 to 5 hours of continuous play on a charge.
Cheeko charges over USB-C. Use any phone charger you already have. There is no charger in the box.
Who can my child talk to?
Two characters, chosen on screen.
- Cheeko answers general questions out loud.
- Quizzy asks 10 questions a day to stretch your child’s thinking.
Both are included free for your first 3 months.
Can I put my own audio on a card?
Yes. Upload any audio in the parent app and assign it to your custom card. A grandparent’s story, a song, a birthday message.
The first time your child slots the card in it downloads to the device. After that it plays offline whenever they like.
When will my preorder arrive, and how do I pay?
Preorders are delivering in the first week of September 2026.
